The Mattatuck Museum seeks a full-time Education Coordinator, as well as a Summer Intern as part of their Philip Benevento History Internship.
The Education Coordinator is integral to the Education Department and the successful operation and growth of educational programming. The Coordinator will schedule, oversee, and help lead school/group trips to the Museum as well as other programming including off-site afterschool programs, Intermediate and Homeschool Art programs, and other programs as determined by department need. The position will also focus on docent recruitment, and community outreach. The ideal candidate will have a studio art background and is comfortable leading art programs and art/history tours for student, family and adult groups.

The Annual Philip Benevento History Internship was founded by a friend who shares Phil’s passion for history. The selected intern will work two to three days a week for six weeks during the summer, alongside the museum archivist. The goal is for the intern to produce a work of scholarship (either oral or written) drawing on the resources in the museum archives. This year’s focus will be on processing, organizing, and making the Mattatuck Museum’s Southern CT Chapter of American Society for Materials (ASM) Collection accessible.
Requirements:
• Applicants should have a major field related to history, urban studies, American studies, or library science.
• Applicants must submit a resume and a cover letter stating areas of research/study interest and career
goals.
• A curious mind and strong written communication are especially desirable.
Preference will be given to applicants who live in Waterbury or are current college students in Waterbury.

Every year the Sharon Playhouse hires a company of more than 100 people, including actors (Equity and non-Equity), directors, musicians, designers, technicians, box office associates, administrative positions, and front of house staff.

The Jamie Gagarin Gallery, located inside of Litchfield's Oliver Wolcott Library (OWL), is a showcase to display fine art in a range of styles and media. It offers a unique opportunity for artists to share and sell their work to a broad and diverse audience within Litchfield County.
All work is selected through a competitve juried process led by the Cultural Committee, appointed by the President of the OWL Board of Trustees.
Selected artists would be exhibiting begining in March of 2025.

The Connecticut Arts Administrators Association, Inc. is pleased to offer its time-honored Summer Arts Institute with expanded opportunities. Open to all arts educators, administrators/supervisors, teaching artists and representatives from arts organizations, and content area teachers, the summer institute provides highly qualified instructors, mentoring, models, and guidance in curriculum design, assessment and instruction, and leadership.

This year Tofte Lake Center is offering three Individual Artist Residencies. These residencies are focused on individual artists and/or small collaborative teams of all disciplines (literary, performing and visual arts) who wish to create work in the natural environment and in community with other artists. There is also time for play and rejuvenation - all in support of each artist’s goals, needs and interests.
This residency is open to artists of any discipline, career stage, and geographic location who are over the age of 18.
